DAVAO EXSEMS’ MEETING

The meeting started at
6:30 pm with a prayer by Diony.
AGENDA, discussions/agreement/resolutions:
1)
Final Summary Financial Report re
Daniel Padilla Concert (Aug.3, 2013)
P162,975 – total amount deposited directly to XACOSE bank account
215,483 – received by Frank
Sanchez/deposited in the exsems’ bank account
Less: P102,025 to be turned over
to XACOSE (Frank to issue cheque, with a formal
cover letter by
Guilbert) = P265,000 total exsems’ donation to XACOSE
P113,458 – net amount left in exsems’ account for future
revolving/mobilization fund in the event that activities will be again organized
for XACOSE fundraising purposes.

SFXS REUNION/HOMECOMING – Nov. 30,

Max)
Schedule: 8-9am – Registration (Diony & Chuck in charge)

– election of coop officers (interim/temp. only… until January 2014).
Once
registered with the CDA in 2014, these officers will become
permanent until the next election, as provided in our CBL.

registration for more interested exems, who have P420 ready

(P20 as exsem + 100 coop reg. + 300 initial cap.share)

purpose: camaraderie (the coop giving us reason to see each other)

the long run: exsems given a chance to “help and/or be helped”

Eddie
will prepare a brief outline to focus only coop’s benefits (less than 30
minutes only) in order to attract more and more exsems to join/registration on
Nov. 30, then will follow immediately a short PMES by Jun Abestros.

Other matters:

Addressing
Fr. Max’s observations, only very few exsems involved in the 2 previous
activities. Next time, they should organize activities only for exsems without
bothering the parishes or other groups to participate, nor asking for their
support and assistance. So in order to generate significant results, more and
more exsems should participate, acc.to Fr. Max (something like “if exsems want to
organize activities in order to help the seminary, just help, but don’t ask the
seminary or the parishes to help in your activities”) – surely this is a valid
observation, and a big challenge for all exsems in davao region.

Proposed
“XMAS DINNER FOR A CAUSE” only for exsems….to be further discussed in the next
weekly meetings and decided before Nov. 30 – an activity still for XACOSE
fundraising purposes.

Next
year’s funrun3 (iRUN FOR PRIESTHOOD3) should be participated more by exsems
(80% or more), no more requesting for parishes’ participation or
seminary/archdiocese’s support.

Activities
like funrun, soli in cash or in kind, etc….all roads leading to GSIS
for the Bohol earthquake
victims will be done on individual exsems basis.

Diony
asking how to recover our P12K cost of the video coverage, suggesting that
we’ll try to promote and sell the CD-video coverage of DP concert, also
containing bits of seminary information – this will be further taken up in the next meeting 6pm Nov.8 Friday at Emcor.

a Timekeeper must be assigned for Nov.30, to strictly enforce time observance,
otherwise some impt. Agenda will not be taken up.
